Entryway and Interior Foyer Lighting
Whether you enjoy a grand two story foyer or a simple entryway, this area is typically the first space a visitor to your home encounters. You'll want to light it in a welcoming way that coordinates with and sets the tone for your entire house.
In all but the smallest of entryways, some type of overhead lighting fixture is strongly suggested. When high ceilings exist, an appropriately sized chandelier can make a great first impression. If your foyer has the ceiling height for a chandelier, but would be overwhelmed by a full size chandelier, consider installing a mini-chandelier. To provide adequate lighting with a lower ceiling height a flush or semi-flush ceiling fixture is highly recommended.
When combined with a hanging decorative mirror, wall sconces or table lamps can also be an excellent choice for spreading light throughout the foyer.
